What a delicious Apple pies from Pennsylvania and Kentucky

From the old well known saying "an Apple a day keeps the doctor," to "as American as Apple Pie," apples are deeply rooted in our psyche. Always been a popular fruit and the favorite in the baked desserts. Different parts of the country, often have their own specialities and recipes in this article are from Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Connect to the people in these States by these recipes, Apple Pie, Kentucky and Pennsylvania Dutch country apple pie. He was born and grew up in Southern Indiana, I spent a lot of time in Kentucky, and grew they love the food there. This Kentucky Apple Pie Baked in a pan, 9 x 13 inches, and is so tasty and moist doesn't need frosting. Dutch Apple is 9 inches square cake flavoured cooked apples. Both of these cakes are popular here, in my house in Texas.

KENTUCKY APPLE PIE
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups of sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
3 large apples, sliced thick
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix oil, sugar and eggs. Examination of the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together into a mixture of sugar. Both the mixture together, mix well. Stir in vanilla, apples and walnuts. Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan. Shop at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. This cake does not need frosting.

PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH COUNTRY APPLE PIE
warm milk 1/3 cup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup of warm (not hot) water
1 pkg yeast dried
1 egg, beaten well
all-purpose flour 1 1/3 cups
1 1/2 cup, cooked until slightly soft, Apple slices; drained
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Powdered sugar for decoration

Combine the warm milk with granulated sugar, salt, and half of the butter; allow to cool to lukewarm.

Dissolve yeast in warm water. The mixing of the mixture of milk, beaten eggs and flour mixture to the yeast. Beat until dough is smooth. The dough evenly into greased 9-inch baking pan. Arrange Apple slices over the top. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; Sprinkle over the Apple slices. Dot with remaining butter mixture. Cover and allow to rise to 40 minutes in a warm place. Shop at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
